An ICT Mahidol Instructor won the second runner-up outstanding research award in conceptual aspect for his research project “3D Training Field of Army Tactical Training Center” at the research and innovation exhibition of Royal Thai Army for the fiscal year 2022

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), would like to express our congratulations to Asst. Prof. Dr. Mores Prachyabrued, ICT Mahidol instructor, Program Chair of M.Sc. in Game Technology and Gamification, and Head of the ImmerSense Laboratory. His research project, “3D Training Field of Army Tactical Training Center” won the second runner-up outstanding research award in conceptual aspect at the research and innovation exhibition of the Royal Thai Army for the fiscal year 2022 under the theme, “Guidelines on Research and Innovation Adoption for Border Inspection” on September 15, 2022, organized by the Army Research and Development Office.

“3D Training Field of Army Tactical Training Center” is a research and development of virtual defense systems in line with computer graphics, computer networks, and geographic information systems utilized for army training amongst commanders and platoon leaders. Since the project serves the military’s purpose of geographic analysis and personnel management including training for systematic thinking and determining based on military decision making, it will help reduce actual training costs.
