Admission steps

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University will admit new students to the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (International Program), a 4-academic year program, for study program starting in Academic Year 2017 [International Admission Round] as follows:

2. Qualifications of the applicant

For those who graduated from high schools in other countries or international schools in Thailand

  • Must have CGPA from high school at least 2.5 or equivalent (e.g., C+)
  • Must have an English Proficiency Test score according to the criteria of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology as follows: (Except for those who are from the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Singapore do not submit the English Proficiency Test scores)

- TOEFL Paper Based Test, not less than 500, or
- TOEFL Computer Based Test, not less than 173, or
- TOEFL Internet Based Test, not less than 60, or
- IELTS, not less than 5.0, or
- TOEIC, not less than 600, or
- Average grades of English subjects from an international program of not less than ‘B’ or its equivalent, or
- Pass the Faculty of ICT’s written examination for the English subject.

Must have an English Proficiency Test score according to the criteria of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology as follows:

  • Must have academic examination scores according to the criteria of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology as follows:

- GCSE “A” level in Mathematics and Computers, or Chemistry, or Physics not lower than “C”, or
- SAT (Critical Reading, Mathematics, Writing), not lower than 1520, or
- SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics level 1 of not less than 620, or SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics level 2 of not less than 690, and SAT Subject Tests in Physics or Chemistry not less than 670, or
- Pass the Faculty of ICT’s written examination for the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

The scores must be from a test taken within two years before the application date.

3. Application Fee Payment

3.1 For those who graduated from high schools in other countries or international schools in Thailand, please print out the pay-in slip from the online system and bring it to pay the application fee of 600 Baht at the Siam Commercial Bank in any branch. Please note that only the printed pay-in slip can be used for payment, general pay-in slip at the bank cannot be used in this case.

3.2 For those who are graduated from partner university, there is no application fee required.

4. Required documents

4.1 A high school diploma or the equivalence of educational qualification certified by the Ministry of Education (only for those who are graduated from schools in other countries or international schools in Thailand)

4.2 Transcript or documents stating student academic performance

4.3 A photocopy of your citizen identification card and a photocopy of resident registration (for Thai students) or a photocopy of your first page of a valid passport (for foreign students)

4.4 Three 1–inch photographs taken not more than six months prior to the application date

4.5 Two recommendation letters from home institution

4.6 A statement of purpose of not more than 2 A4 pages
