Robocode is an Open Source educational game started by Mathew Nelson (originally provided by IBM). The game is designed to help people learn to program in Java and enjoy the experience. It is very easy to start - a simple robot can be written in just a few minutes - but perfecting a bot can take months or more.

ICT students won the first National Contest in Thailand, Robocode Thailand ICT Contest 2009, NECTEC and SIIT Thammasat University altogether held the ‘Robocode Thailand ICT Contest 2009’. Our ICT students; Mr. Ekapol Kongvichian, Mr. Thantorn Pattanawong and Mr. Weerapat Sriarunrungrueng  attended the contest and won the prize of Robot Controlling Software Development. Not only the prize money of 40,000 Baht they received but also the honor trophy From Mr. Chaiwat Torsakoonkaew, Deputy Under-secretary of Ministry of Science and Technology.

Robocode Thailand ICT Contest is a competition for those who would like to get involved in Software Development with JAVA to automatically control the trunk robots battles. Those who attended also got to practice their software development skills and Algorithm including Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make the robots the most efficient. The winners were given the awards at Siam Paragon Mall.
