Windows Mobile Application Contest

This is another contest initiated by Microsoft. The contest encourages developers to develope software for Windows Mobile phones. The goal of the competition is to to promote innovation amongst Thai students by encouraging them to turn their creative ideas into real mobile software applications, as well as boost the growth of Thailand’s local mobile application and software industry.

ICT students won the first place of Windows Mobile Application Contest 2009

Microsoft (Thailand) Limited has announced the results of a special Windows Mobile Application Contest as part of the Windows Mobile Experience Tour event, held in Bangkok from June 10 – 14th, 2009. The contest was created to promote innovation amongst Thai students by encouraging them to turn their creative ideas into real mobile software applications, as well as boost the growth of Thailand’s local mobile application and software industry. The Suppy team from Mahidol University won first prize for their ‘Cabinet’ application, which simplifies procedures for creating online surveys. The Cabinet passed the 1st round as 1 in 9 teams from totally 12 teams. Then it won the first place in the final round with 50,000 baht prize and honorable certificates from Microsoft on 13 June, 2009. All of the applications from the top four finalists will now be further developed to become fully-fledged applications for Windows Mobile devices.
