ICT Mahidol Students won the 1st prize in “Innovation for Smoke Free University” Competition

The Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) would like to express its congratulations to the team “MGK0001”, its students, for winning the first prize in “Innovation for Smoke Free University” competition.

The team “MGK0001” had showcased their project “CIGALESS”, which is an application that can help Mahidol University staff stop smoking in the “Innovation for Smoke Free University” competition at the Medical Association of Thailand, and won the first prize with 10,000 baht project fund. This application aims to help smokers reduce their smoking, gain knowledge on preventing diseases caused by smoking as well as to eventually give up smoking. The team members of “MGK0001”, which were supervised by Dr. Pawitra Chiravirakul, the Deputy Dean for Organizational Communication and Engagement, comprised of 3 senior students as follows:

  1. Miss Kramolneat Chitsue, majoring in Database and Intelligent Systems Track
  2. Miss Phrugsa Limboonlorm, majoring in Computer Science Track
  3. Miss Pranpariya Sakarin, majoring in Computer Networks Track

The “Innovation for Smoke Free University” competition was held by the National Alliance for Tobacco Free Thailand which aimed to support and promote the concept of smoke free university, to develop applications that can help smokers in the universities stop smoking, as well as to help improve the quality of lives in universities.
