Friday 31st July 2020 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology,
Mahidol University organized “2020 Occupational Safety and Health Activities: Fire Safety Training, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training” for its executives, instructors, staff, and students. The 2 trainings were simultaneously conducted at the ICT Building, Salaya campus;
the “Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training” was trained at Bits & Bytes Hall, and the
“Fire Safety Training was” held at Room 406. Both training also broadcasted through Webex Meetings.
In the morning, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the dean as a chairman addressed a welcome speech to the participants who attended the “Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training”. Then, theory and practice training of “How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)” were conducted by guest speakers from the Bangkok Hospital and N Health Company. This training aimed to educate and upskill participants on international first aid and resuscitation, in order that they can comply these guidelines to help others in actual situation; prevent injuries from getting worse and preserve life in emergency case.
At the same time, at Room IT406, there was a theory lecture on the “Fire Safety Training” by
Mr. Piyawat Phutthapatimoke, and team from Yai Cha Sub-District Administration Organization. In the afternoon, all participants were given opportunities to practice fire extinguishment and fire evacuation, at the 1st Floor, the ICT Building.
At the end of the activities, Mrs. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Engineering and Systems Activity, concluded the activities, thanked all guest speakers and participants, as well as gave exclusive gifts to the guest speakers.
