Saturday 2nd February 2019 – MUICT won 2 awards at the “Thai Innovator Day 2019” exhibition. The representatives from MUICT who won the awards are Asst. Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, who won “Outstanding Research Work” award for his “Human Gait as a Biometric for Human Re-Identification under Unconstrained Walking Conditions and Environments” research, and Dr. Preecha Tangworakitthaworn, who won a “Thai Inventions and Innovations award” with his “Miniture Plantpot: A Game-Based Learning System for Plant Monitoring Based on IoT Technology” project.
Pattarachai Kiratisin, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Mahidol University Institute for Teachnology and Innovation Management (INT), was an MU representative to congratulate the 10 winners from Mahidol University. Furthermore, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, dean of MUICT, also went to congratulate the winners from MUICT after they received the awards from ACM. Prajin Juntong, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Ministers.
The “Thai Innovator Day” was held for the 21th time and this time under the concept of “Inventions and Innovations for Thailand’s advancement” which displayed more than 1,500 of both national and international inventions for everyone to see and study at Event Hall 102 – 104, BITEC Exhibition Centre Bangkok from 2 to 6 February 2019.
