Wednesday 1st May 2019 – MUICT held a press conference for “Retraining and Coaching ICT Professionals” at the Hubba conference room, Silom Complex building. The objective of the press conference was to inform about a new MUICT training project that aims to improve ICT professionals in the Thailand 4.0 era.

Emeritus Professor Dr. Supachai Tangwongsan, Senior Advisor of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, and founder of the project, talked about the importance of the flexibility in Digital Disruption time which can provide both advantages and disadvantages to the business industry. This causes many ICT profession to struggle to learn new techniques in order to be able to compete in the market. MUICT saw this as an opportunity for the new ICT professionals to learn from the ones who are successful in this area. As a result, the “Retraining and Coaching ICT Professionals” training was founded.

Furthermore, there was also an introduction of the honorable instructors who will share their knowledge through this training such as:

  1. Emeritus Professor Dr. Supachai Tangwongsan, former Chairman of the Executive Committee of SIPA and former Vice President for Information Technology of Mahidol University.
  2. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudsanguan Ngamsuriyaroj, MUICT instructor and former director of Mahidol University’s ICT program.
  3. Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanwadee Sunetnanta , MUICT instructor and Mahidol University’s expert in Software Engineering.
  4. Dr. Apirak Hoonlor, MUICT instructor and Mahidol University’s expert in Data Science.
  5. Dr. Siwaruk Siwamogsatham, the Director of National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA)
  6. Dr.Kridiwat Suttiwaree, ICT independent scholar
  7. Dr. Chakan Pramkaew, Blockchain Architect at National Digital ID Co., Ltd.

The offered courses are as follow:

  1. ICT Project Management Best Practices
  2. Agile Software Development Best Practices
  3. Information Security Management Best Practices
  4. Data Science for Business Transformation
  5. Blockchain and Cryptocurrency for Business Transformation
  6. Business Process Management Best Practices

The target audience of this training is IT professionals who have work experience of more than 5 years or have basic knowledge about the selected course. Moreover, the Harvard Business School model will be applied with the training which includes lecturing, case studies, group/case discussion, and coaching.
