MUICT joined Cooperative Network on Developing Government Big Data Analysts

Thursday 6th June 2019 – The Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University led by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the dean, participated in a press conference on the grand opening of a cooperative network in personnel development for utilizing government information (Big Data)  at Hall 7, Digital Economy Agency, Ladprao Hill. The objective of this cooperative network is to assist in developing government personnel to use government big data systematically and concretely. The cooperative network is comprised of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society as well as the following 20 government agencies and universities:

  • Office of the Civil Service Commission
  • Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization)
  • Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization)
  • Chulalongkorn University
  • Kasetsart University
  • King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi
  • King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok
  • Bangkok University
  • Thammasat University
  • Dhurakij Pundit University
  • Mahidol University
  • Rangsit University
  • Sripatum University
  • Silpakorn University
  • Prince of Songkla University
  • Assumption University
  • Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology
  • King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang
  • National Institute of Development Administration
  • CAT Telecom Public Company Limited

This cooperation between the 21 government agencies and universities will be an initial point of building the networks in developing personnel in data analytics and bringing available big data to use as a guideline for country’s development as well as for solving the shortage of expertise in the Data Science field in Thailand.
