Tuesday 11th June 2019 – the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, together with the Software Engineering Research Unit (SERU) Team led by Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul, Assistant Dean of the Academic Administration and Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul, Assistant Dean of the Academic Administration held the first “Café SERU”; a series of seminars on software engineering. The first in the series of “Café SERU” entitled “Café SERU #1: The future of software defect prediction and software quality” aimed to share experience and knowledge about software engineering to students, faculty members, staff and those who are interested in the software engineering field. This seminar was honored to have Dr. Chakkrit Tantithamthavorn, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University as well as Dr. Patanamon Thongtanunam, Lecturer at the School of Computing and Information Systems, University of Melbourne as guest speakers to give a talk on “Explainable Artificial Intelligence to Predict Future Software Defects” and “Quality-Impacting Practices in Software Development” at Room IT405, the Faculty of ICT, Salaya Campus. There were 23 participants which comprised of 14 Mahidol University staff, 8 students and 1 interested participant in this seminar.
