MUICT Instructor and staff won medals in swimming during the 38th Khunleay Games

May 24th – 31st 2019, the Faulty of ICT, Mahidol University’s instructor and staff won several medals from swimming in the 38th Khunleay Games; a sport competition between personnel under the Office of the Higher Education Commission, which was held at Suratthani Rajabhat University, Suratthani Province.

In this 38th Khunleay Games, Mahidol Universiry has maintained its 4th year championship with 66 gold medals, 65 silver medals and 61 bronze medals. The second and the third place were Kasetsart University, last year championship, who won 56 gold medals, 47 silver medals and 32 bronze medals as well as Chulalongkorn University who got 38 gold medals, 35 silver medals and 35 bronze medals respectively.

The instructor and staff from the Faculty of ICT also participated in this games and won 4 medals in swimming. The Faculty of ICT would like to congratulate Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, MUICT Instructor who got 3 medals in swimming as follow:

  • 1 gold medal from 4x50m freestyle relay, female type, age 36 – 40 yrs.
  • 1 silver medal from 4x50m medley relay, female type, age 36 – 40 yrs.
  • 1 bronze medal from 50m butterfly stroke, female type, age 46 – 50 yrs.

as well as Mr. Nuttapol Boonsom, MUICT staff for winning a bronze medal from 4x50m medley relay, male type, age not over than 30 years old.

The swimming was held at KrodKlao Swimming Pool, Suratthani Rajabhat University in which 326 swimmers from 33 universities competed. Again this year, Mahidol University was the winner in swimming with 22 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 8 bronze medals. Followed by Kasetsart University who grabbed 16 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 9 bronze medals and then Chulalongkorn University who got 6 gold medals, 12 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.

Moreover, Mr. Theerapon Sengsomwong, MUICT staff also won a bronze medal from Sepak Takraw in the 38th Khunleay Games.
