6 ICT Mahidol instructors won awards from the “Invention and Innovation Contest, Fiscal year 2021-2022”, held by the National Research Council of Thailand

On 2 February 2022 – 6 instructors from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), received awards from “Invention and Innovation Contest, Fiscal year 2021-2022”, held by the National Research Council of Thailand during 2 – 6 February 2022. On this occasion, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University presented the congratulations bouquet to them at Event Hall 102 – 104, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok.

The list of papers which received the National Research Awards is as follows:

  1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran won 4 awards as follows:
    • Good Level of Invention Award, Fiscal year 2021: COVID-19 Detection and Heatmap Generation in Chest X-Ray 2 Images
    • Good Level of Research Award, Fiscal year 2022: Development of Swamp Buffalo Identification Method Using Biometric Feature
    • Good Level of Invention Award, Fiscal year 2022: Pyramid Graph Cut: Integrating Intensity and Gradient Information for Grayscale Medical Image Segmentation
    • Recognition Level of Invention Award, Fiscal year 2022: Automatic Measurement of Cardiothoracic Ratio in Chest X-Ray
  1. Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul won Excellence Level of Thesis Award, Fiscal year 2021 from the research, “Code Similarity and Clone Search in Large-Scale Source Code Data”
  1. Dr. Wudhichart Sawangphol won Recognition Level of Invention Award, Fiscal year 2021 from the research, “ORCHIDATOR: An Intelligent Orchid Recognition and Knowledge Base System Using Deep Learning”
  1. Dr. Pawitra Liamruk won Recognition Level of Invention Award, Fiscal year 2021 from the research, “BINBIN: A SMART RECYCLING BIN AND APPLICATIONS”
  1. Dr. Akara Supratak won Recognition Level of Invention Award, Fiscal year 2021 from the research, “VideoQR: Information Embedding-Retrieval of Re-Recorded Video”
  1. Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul won Good Level of Thesis Award, Fiscal year 2022 from the research, “Developing Analytics Models for Software Project Management”
