On 5 June 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, in collaboration with Mahidol University, hosted the 2024 ACNET-EngTech General Assembly. The assembly was honored by the presence of Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, serving as the President from the ASEAN-side, and Professor Liu Xiuguo, Assistant President of Tianjin University, serving as the President from the Chinese-side, who delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the ACNET-EngTech network members. The meeting was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, and Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology. Also in attendance were Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonsit Yimwadsana, ICT Mahidol instructor; Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development;Asst. Prof. Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems; Dr. Kanoksak Wattanachote, ICT instructor; Asst. Prof. Dr. Charnyote Pluempitiwiriyawej, ICT instructor; and Ms. Wanpimon Senapadpakorn Director of Global Partnerships Division, along with ICT faculty members and ACNET-EngTech network members. The meeting was held both onsite at the Grand Auditorium, Room IT 404, Room It 426, ICT Mahidol, Salaya Campus, and online via Zoom.
The ACNET-EngTech (ASEAN-China Network for Cooperation and Exchange among Engineering and Technology) General Assembly is a collaborative conference focused on academic, educational, and research cooperation among leading universities from the People’s Republic of China under the Excellence 9 (E9) group and universities in the ASEAN region. This year’s assembly aimed to strengthen academic and research collaboration, as well as to provide opportunities for students from participating universities to gain valuable learning experiences through educational exchange. The agenda included the 2024 Work Report and the 2025 Work Plan, presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonsit Yimwadsana. In addition, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of ICT, along with other ACNET-EngTech members, shared updates on their respective initiatives and joint activities from 2024. The meeting also provided a platform for discussion on future areas of cooperation among the network members. The next ACNET-EngTech meeting will be hosted at Tianjin University in the People’s Republic of China, where the university will serve as the rotating president.
