From July 28 to August 1, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), visited three research groups and partner universities in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the progress of ongoing research and collaboration on accepting research interns. This internship program will be a part of the Capstone Project course for the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) in the future.
The visits to the three partner research groups included:
- Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT): A courtesy visit was paid to Assoc. Prof. Shigeru Kashihara at the Cyber Human Systems Laboratory. The visit also included two interns, Mr. Kawin Surakupt and Ms. Supatchaya Aichum, who are currently 4th-year students in the ICT International Program. They are participating in a summer internship, collaborating with Japanese students on research topics related to IoT and Generative AI.
- Tokyo City University (TCU): A courtesy visit was paid to Prof. Akira Taguchi, Vice President for International Relationships, Prof. Kenya Jinno, Prof. Hirohiko Mori, Prof. Kohei Shiomoto, and Assoc. Prof. Youngha Chang. This visit also included three interns who are currently 4th-year students in the ICT International Program: Ms. Nintawa Kenyota, Ms. Pran Tantipiwatanaskul, and Ms. Ornjira Korsakpaisarn.
- Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT): A courtesy visit was paid to Prof. Nariyoshi Yamai, Asst. Prof. Rei Nakagawa, Prof. Keiichi Kaneko, Prof. Katsuhide Fujita, and Prof. Kaori Fujinami. This visit also included two interns who are currently 4th-year students in the ICT International Program: Ms. Paranee Wannasorn and Ms. Natthida Wiphaalongkot.
