On September 3, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with the AI Engineering Institute (AIEI), organized an online academic seminar on “Smart AI, Smart Health, Smarter You,” entitled “The Empathy Engine: Powering Healthcare Innovation with AI and Human Intelligence.” The seminar was honored by the presence of Mr. Jirut Wattoom, Head of Innovation and Portfolio Management, SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited (SCGC), who served as the guest speaker sharing his expertise and insights on future technologies with students, faculty members, and staff of Mahidol University. The session was conducted online via Webex Meetings.
The seminar was part of a series of collaborative activities organized by the AI Engineering Institute (AIEI) network, comprising nine institutions: Mahidol University, Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), Mahanakorn University of Technology, Chulalongkorn University, Prince of Songkla University, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
The objective of the seminar was to highlight the advancement of healthcare innovation through the power of empathy, integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Human Intelligence to transform the future of medicine. In addition, the event aimed to broaden perspectives and enrich participants’ knowledge of emerging technologies that are currently driving, and will continue to shape, global industries.
