On September 24, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, together with the executive team, faculty members, and staff, paid their respects and laid a wreath at the Monument of His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, at Mahidol Learning Center, Mahidol University, in commemoration of Mahidol Day 2025.
On the same occasion, executives, faculty members, and staff of ICT Mahidol also joined the wreath-laying ceremony to pay tribute at the Monument of His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, in commemoration of Mahidol Day 2025, at two additional locations:
- Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Phongsuphap, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Quality Assurance
- Siriraj Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, led by Mr. Praprut Piriyabenchawat, Head of the Technology Infrastructure Department
September 24 of every year is designated as “Prince Mahidol Day” in commemoration of the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the father of Modern Medicine and Public Health in Thailand. This day commemorates his significant contributions to the advancement of medical education in Thailand and his selfless devotion to the well-being of Thai people. He also founded the House of Mahidol, the present Royal Family of Thailand. In addition, Prince Mahidol played a key role in founding Siriraj School of Medicine, strengthening the unity of medical schools in Thailand, and enhancing the effectiveness of medical teaching and learning.
