On December 18, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), warmly welcomed distinguished delegates from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Macquarie University, Australia, for a research and academic collaboration visit at Room IT404, 4th Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The welcoming delegation from the Faculty of ICT included Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of ICT; Dr. Wudhichart Sawangphol, Assistant Dean for Research; Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology; Dr. Pilailuck Panphattarasap, Instructor of the Computer Science Academic Group; and Dr. Pattaraporn Sangaroonsilp, Instructor of the Computer Science Academic Group and the Coordinator for Cooperation with the Commonwealth of Australia.
The visiting delegates were Prof. Dr. Amin Beheshti, Director of the Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence and Head of the Data Science Lab at Macquarie University, and Dr. Hamid Alinejad Rokny, Director of the Biomedical Machine Learning Laboratory (BML), School of Biomedical Engineering, the University of New South Wales, Australia.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, the University of New South Wales, and Macquarie University. During the session, the visiting scholars also delivered an academic talk highlighting recent innovations in machine learning and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on how these technologies are transforming healthcare and shaping the future of humanity. The visit marked an important step toward fostering international research partnerships and advancing impactful interdisciplinary research.
