On January 21, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized an academic seminar on “AI for Smart Factory: Transforming Manufacturing through Artificial Intelligence.” The seminar was honored by Dr. Petch Sajjacholapunt, Deputy Dean for Administration and Human Resource, who delivered the welcoming remarks and officially opened the session. The event was attended by faculty members, staff, and students of Mahidol University and was held at Room IT204, 2nd floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The seminar featured Ms. Kaemmarin Veeraphout, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Connected Tech Co., Ltd., as the keynote speaker. She shared insights into current trends and the role of artificial intelligence in Industry 4.0. The session also highlighted practical examples of AI applications using CCTV systems in manufacturing environments, as well as the development of end-to-end AI solutions—from cameras to dashboards. The seminar concluded with a workshop analyzing the case study, “How AI Can Reduce Labor Costs and Enhance Production Efficiency.”
The seminar was organized to promote a comprehensive understanding of the Smart Factory concept and the role of artificial intelligence in the industrial sector. The program provided participants with insights into real-world applications and systematic, end-to-end approaches to AI solution development. It also served as a platform for exchanging perspectives and advancing ideas toward the practical adoption of AI technologies. Ultimately, the seminar aimed to enhance production efficiency, reduce operational costs, and support a sustainable transition toward the next generation of industry.
