On September 17, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with KGI Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited, organized an academic seminar on the topic “Algorithmic Trading & Python Workshop.” The seminar was honored by the presence of Mr. Vithan Minaphinant, Founder of Investic Analytics Company Limited, who served as the guest speaker. He shared knowledge on designing automated trading systems using Python, stock selection, risk and portfolio management, backtesting, and performance analysis, as well as demonstrated live trading and real stock trading systems to students, faculty members, and staff of Mahidol University. The seminar concluded with Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, who delivered the closing remarks and presented a souvenir to the speaker. The event took place at Room IT103, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
This academic seminar was organized with the objective of providing participants with fundamental knowledge in investment analysis. Mahidol University students who joined the seminar are also eligible to participate in the KGI Algo Trading Bootcamp and Competition 2025, scheduled for November 2025, where they will have the opportunity to compete for scholarships worth over 200,000 Baht.
