ICT Mahidol’s Cybersecurity Club Organized a Special Lecture on “Can You Catch the Hacker? Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Lab using ALOG”

On January 14, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Club, organized a special lecture entitled “Can You Catch the Hacker? Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Lab using ALOG.” The lecture was held for first- to fourth-year students in the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science Program in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) at the IT103 Computer Laboratory, 1st floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Chair of the Master of Science Program in Cyber Security and Information Assurance and advisor to the Cybersecurity Club, who officially opened the session and welcomed the guest speaker from AMIYA Corporation. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Panya Asanijaruekjit, who provided an overview of the fundamental principles of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and guided students through hands-on exercises in the SIEM Lab, utilizing the ALOG platform to collect, analyze security data and generate security event alerts. In addition, the session included an exchange of perspectives and professional experiences on cybersecurity threat prevention, enabling students to develop analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as to apply their knowledge collaboratively in a professional working environment.
