ICT Mahidol Students won awards at the “Hackathon: Unlocking the Potential of A.I. Engineering” at Khon Kaen University

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), extends its congratulations to the second and third-year students of the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program). Under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, these students won awards at the “Hackathon: Unlocking the Potential of A.I. Engineering” competition held from August 22 to 23, 2024, at Bayasita Hotel, Khon Kaen University. The awards are as follows:

First Prize, with a cash award of 10,000 Baht: Team ABC – Anti Bird Camera, featuring second-year student Mr. Pannawit krutnak as a team member.

First Runner-Up, with a cash award of 5,000 Baht: Team Mor+ Prompt, featuring third-year student Mr. Phusit Mongkhonwatcharaphun as a team member.

Second Runner-Up, with a cash award of 3,000 Baht: Team Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage, featuring third-year student Mr. Harith Phalangpatanakij as a team member.

The “Hackathon: Unlocking the Potential of A.I. Engineering” competition was part of the “EGAT Open House: Smart Energy Solutions 2024” event, organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), and CMKL University. The competition aimed to provide students with skills, creativity, and an interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to develop and present cutting-edge clean energy technologies and innovations. This year, 140 students from six leading institutions in Thailand participated: Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla University, Mahidol University, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and CMKL University.

Once again, the Faculty of ICT proudly congratulates all the participating students on their outstanding achievements.
