On April 26 – 28, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with the LORD OBEC Project under the Ministry of Education (Thailand), Authorized Apple Partner Education, and SWIFT Coding Club, organized the competition for “Young iOS Developer Hackathon 2025,” at the Grand Auditorium Room, 4th Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The opening ceremony was graced by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, who delivered welcoming remarks on behalf of the Dean of ICT Mahidol. Following that, Dr. Thapanut Udomsree, Deputy Director, Learning Organization Research and Development Unit, LORD OBEC Project, Ministry of Education (Thailand), provided background information and outlined primary objectives of the event to the competitors, including 20 participating teams of students nationwide, on April 26, 2025.
During April 26 – 27, 2025, the “Hack Time & Hack Clinic” session was held for the 20 participating teams of students. The event featured Mr. Kiratijuta Bhumichitr, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Greenmoons Co., Ltd., together with a team of guest speakers from the Swift Coding Club. They shared knowledge on advanced application development and provided valuable advice on presenting the completed applications to the students.
On April 28, 2025, 20 student teams presented their developed applications. The event was honored by the presence of Lect. Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), together with Dr. Thapanut Udomsree, Deputy Director, Learning Organization Research and Development Unit (LORD), OBEC Project, Ministry of Education (Thailand), Mr. Pisit Lertapirak, Product Manager – Authorized Apple Partner, Synnex (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd., and Mr. Kiratijuta Bhumichitr, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Greenmoons Co., Ltd., who served as judges for the competition.
The award ceremony was attended by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of ICT Mahidol, Mr. Kiratijuta Bhumichitr, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Greenmoons Co., Ltd., Dr. Thapanut Udomsree, Deputy Director of Learning Organization Research and Development Unit (LORD), OBEC Project, Ministry of Education (Thailand), Mr. Traisorn Worayankoson, Director of SPVI Public Co., Ltd., and Ms. Supanee Boonpakorn, Director of SE-ED Academy, SE-EDUCATION Public Co., Ltd., who served as award presenters for the five winning student teams. Following the ceremony, the Dean of ICT Mahidol also delivered the official closing speech, marking the conclusion of the two-day competition.
In addition, a series of guidance activities, special lectures, and panel discussions were held for all participants, on April 28, 2025, including:
- The session titled “Mahidol University Admissions Guidance,” facilitated by Dr. Chanokporn Puapattanakun, Director of the Center for Life-integrated Learning, Mahidol University, who provided an overview of Mahidol University. In the same session, Lect. Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Deputy Dean for Organizational Development and Special Affairs and Chair of the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), Faculty of ICT, introduced the academic programs offered by the faculty.
- A special lecture titled “From Dreamers to Digital Leaders: The Path to Future Innovation at Mahidol,” delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Panon Latcharote, Assistant to the President for Special Affairs, Mahidol University.
- A panel discussion on “Coding the Future: Building Skills to Lead the Developer’s Revolution” by Mr. Kiratijuta Bhumichitr, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Greenmoons Co., Ltd., together with Mr. Pakawat Korsriphitakkul, Co-Founder of HOLOWISP Co., Ltd., and Spatial Computing Expert.
The “Young iOS Developer Hackathon 2025” was held with the primary objective of providing opportunities for students from across Thailand to engage in iOS applications development using the Swift programming language. The competition aimed to encourage participants to apply their creativity through Swift and transform their ideas into innovative and outstanding applications.
