On September 17, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Associate Professor Dr. Sudsanguan Ngamsuriyaroj, Advisor to the Dean, and Associate Professor Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Program Chair of the Master of Science in Cyber Security and Information Assurance, organized a special talk on “How does military operate in Cyberwarfare? Insights from RTARF cyber command” for students in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). The special talk was honored by the presence of Lieutenant Junior Grade Ratiros Phaenthong from the Military Cyber Command, an alumna of ICT Mahidol’s Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance program, who served as the guest speaker. She shared her expertise on cybersecurity, surveillance of potential threats to national security, and strategies for defending against cyberattacks, providing students with valuable insights. The session was held at the Laboratory Room IT106, 1st floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The lecture aimed to provide students with an overview of various forms of cyber threats that pose risks to national security, while also introducing the Thai military’s approach to cyber defense. Additionally, the session included a hands-on workshop designed to enhance students’ analytical thinking and basic problem-solving skills in cyber-related scenarios. The activity served to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom and its practical application in real-world cyber operations.
