ICT Mahidol’s Faculty Members Visited Software Engineering Research Partners in Japan

From July 28 to August 1, 2025, faculty members from the Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Clusters (SEBA), Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), including Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul, visited software engineering research partners in Japan.

The visit aimed to discuss the progress of ongoing collaborative research and explore potential applications for joint research funding, as well as to strengthen cooperation in hosting research-based internship students, which will be integrated into the Capstone Project course of the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) in the future.

During the four-day visit to the partner research groups, the activities were as follows:

  • July 28, 2025:  A courtesy visit was paid to Prof. Yoshiki Higo and Prof. Raula Gaikovina Kula, along with three internship students: Mr. Nanthit Temkulkiat, Miss Praewa Chan-on, and Miss Nimmida Maneewan, all of whom are third-year students from the ICT International Program.
  • July 29, 2025: A courtesy visit was paid to Prof. Yasutaka Kamei and Asst. Prof. Tao Xiao, along with two internship students: Mr. Panya Trakoolgerntong, a third-year student from the ICT International Program, and Miss Napasorn Lapprakobkit, a second-year student from the DST Thai Program, at the Principles of Software Engineering and Programming Languages Laboratory (POSL Lab), Kyushu University.
  • July 30, 2025 (morning): A courtesy visit was paid to Prof. Kenichi Matsumoto, Asst. Prof. Kazumasa Shimari, and Asst. Prof. Youmei Fan, along with two internship students: Mr. Sahatsawat Nitjaphant, a second-year student from the ICT International Program, and Miss Chayanid Termphaiboon, a third-year student from the ICT International Program, at the Software Engineering Laboratory, Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST).
  • July 30, 2025 (afternoon): A courtesy visit was paid to Prof. Hajimu Iida, Assoc. Prof. Yutaro Kashiwa, and Asst. Prof. Brittany Reid at the Software Design Laboratory (SDLab), Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), to discuss potential research collaboration and the acceptance of internship students in the future.
  • August 1, 2025: A courtesy visit was paid to Assoc. Prof. Teeradaj Racharak and Asst. Prof. Watanee Jearanaiwongkul, along with four internship students: Miss Nonraphan Tatipanithep, Miss Phanphum Prathumsuwan, Mr. Phoonawit Lertchanaruangrit, and Mr. Pavit Lertpiromlak, all third-year students from the ICT International Program, at the ReaLearn (Trustworthy AI Lab), Tohoku University.
