On December 22, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “Sacred Worship, Merit-Making, Alms-Giving, and Buddhist Blessing Ceremony on the Occasion of the New Year 2026.” The event was honored by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of ICT, who led executives, faculty members, and staff in paying homage to the faculty’s sacred objects as well as sacred sites located throughout Mahidol University, including Chao Por Khuntoong Shrine, Phra Buddha Mahidol Mongkon Panyayarn, Monument of Prince Mahidol Adulyadej Memorial Statue, and Phra Buddha Mahidol Mongkhon Worayan. Following the worship activities, the ceremony continued with Buddhist chanting, alms-giving of dry food, the offering of lunch to monks, and the receiving of blessings for auspiciousness. On this occasion, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, presided over the lighting of incense and candles in homage to the Triple Gem. The ceremony was held at the Grand Auditorium, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
Upon the conclusion of the monastic ceremony, the Happiness – Enhancing Team encouraged faculty and staff members to participate in a meditation session. The total number of minutes meditated by each participant was calculated and converted into a monetary donation to a children’s foundation as part of the merit-making activities. In addition, the program featured a shared meal, a New Year prize draw, and interactive activities designed to foster happiness, unity, and engagement among faculty and staff members.
On the auspicious occasion of the New Year, the Faculty of ICT would like to extend sincere wishes, together with the blessings of the Triple Gem and all sacred powers throughout the world, for everyone to enjoy happiness, peace, good health, and well-being, and to achieve success and fulfillment in all rightful aspirations.
