On 31 July 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the orientation ceremony for new undergraduate students for the academic year 2025. The morning session was held for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program), followed by the afternoon session for students in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program).
The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of ICT Mahidol, who, together with faculty members and academic affairs staff, warmly welcomed the new students, delivered an encouraging message, and expressed his best wishes for thier academic success. The session aimed to encourage the students to become key professionals in the field of information and communication technology, contributing to the future development of the country. The ceremony was held at the Grand Auditorium, 4th Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
In the morning session, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems and Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program), together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, delivered welcoming remarks and introduced the teaching and learning process, along with essential information for the new students of the DST Thai Program.
In the afternoon session, Dr. Pawitra Liamrak, Associate Dean for Organizational Development and Special Affairs and Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, extended a warm welcome and provided important information about the teaching and learning process to the new students of the ICT International Program.
On the same occasion, the Faculty of ICT also organized a special session entitled “Meet the Executives” for the parents of new students from both programs. The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of ICT Mahidol, who delivered a welcome address to the participants. Following this, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, introduced the academic programs and the teaching and learning structure of the Faculty of ICT. The session took place in Room IT204, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The New Student Orientation for the Academic Year 2025 was organized with the primary purpose to provide new students with essential information to support their academic journey and campus life at the Faculty of ICT and Mahidol University. The orientation aimed to familiarize students with relevant academic rules, regulations, and procedures, as well as to provide useful resources that support their educational achievement. Furthermore, the program encouraged students to embrace a meaningful and constructive university life, guided by strong moral and ethical principles. These foundations will contribute to shaping graduates who embody the qualities aligned with the philosophy, mission, and vision of both the Faculty and Mahidol University. Additionally, the orientation served as an opportunity to foster positive relationships between new students, faculty members, and staff.
