ICT Mahidol Students Attended the “Induction Program” at Macquarie University, Australia

On May 19, 2025, 10 students of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), who are participating in the 2024 ICT Professional Internship Program during May – August ,2025, at Macquarie University, attended the “Induction Program” at 288 Blue Room, 4 Research Park Drive (RPD), Macquarie Park, Australia.

The orientation program was organized by the School of Computing, Macquarie University, Australia, with the principal aim of providing students with an overview of the ICT internship program and introducing them to key academic departments within Macquarie University, including the School of Computing and the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE).

The 3rd-year students of B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), who are participating in the 2024 ICT Professional Internship Program at Macquarie University include:

On this occasion, Dr. Wudhichart Sawangphol, Assistant Dean for Research, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanwadee Sunetnanta, Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisupa Palakvangsa Na Ayudhya, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul, Dr. Pattaraporn Sangaroonsilp, instructors of Computer Science Academic Group and members of the Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Clusters (SEBA), Asst. Prof. Dr. Charnyote Pluempitiwiriyawej and Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyanuch Silapachote, instructors of Computer Science Academic Group, provided an overview of the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, and introduced the group of ICT Mahidol students who are participating in the 2024 ICT Professional Internship Program for the academic year 2024 via Zoom platform. Following this, they also attended a special lecture titled “Empowering Future Researchers: HDR Programs in the School of Computing,” delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jia Wu, Associate Professor, and Dr. Young Lee, Senior Lecturer in Computing, from the School of Computing, Macquarie University.

As part of the program, a session was also arranged for ICT faculty members and students to meet with their academic advisors from Macquarie University.

On this occasion, Macquarie University organized a scholarship award ceremony for 10 students from ICT Mahidol. The scholarships were graciously presented by Mr. Feargal Caley, International Development & Recruitment Manager at Macquarie University. In the afternoon session, academic advisors from Macquarie University also led the students on a campus tour to provide an overview of the facilities at the School of Computing and across the university.
