ICT Mahidol Hosted the “Information Session for 2026 Internship Abroad: Japan, Round 1”

On October 29, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul, instructors in the Computer Science Academic Group and the Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Clusters (SEBA), organized the “Information Session for 2026 Internship Abroad: Japan, Round 1.”

The session aimed to provide detailed information about the internship program in Japan for ICT and DST students. A total of 61 undergraduate students from the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) attended the session, which took place in Room IT331, 3rd Floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.

For the first round of the 2026 Internship Abroad Program, five partner universities in Japan are accepting applications from ICT Mahidol students:

  • Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST)
  • Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST)
  • Osaka University
  • Kyushu University
  • Tohoku University

On this occasion, third- and fourth-year students from the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program), who participated in the 2024 Internship Abroad Program in Japan, were invited to share their experiences. They presented overviews of their research projects as well as discussed their daily life and cultural experiences during their internships at Japanese universities. The participating students included:

    • Mr. Sahatsawat Nitjaphant, a third-year student from ICT International Program
    • Miss Chayanid Termphaiboon, a fourth-year student from ICT International Program
  • The University of Osaka
    • Mr. Nanthit Temkulkiat, a third-year student from ICT International Program
  • Kyushu University
    • Miss Napasorn Lapprakobkit, a third-year student from DST Thai Program
    • Mr. Panya Trakoolgerntong, a fourth-year student from ICT International Program
  • Tohoku University
    • Miss Phanphum Prathumsuwan, a fourth-year student from ICT International Program
