ICT Mahidol Faculty Members Participated in the “ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 7 Software and Systems Engineering – Plenary and Working Group Meetings”

     On June 9 – 13, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanwadee Sunetnanta, Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisupa Palakvangsa Na Ayudhya, Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhitwetsagul, faculty members from the Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Cluster (SEBA), Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), participated in the “ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 7 Software and Systems Engineering – Plenary and Working Group Meetings,” held at the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (Headquarter), Bangkok.

     On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanwadee Sunetnanta served as a member of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC7 Working Group 24 (WG24) Systems and Software Standards for Very Small Entities. This working group is responsible for ISO/IEC 29110, a standard that has been widely adopted within Thailand’s software industry.

     The “ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 7 Software and Systems Engineering – Plenary and Working Group Meetings” was co-hosted by the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Ministry of Industry; the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society; and the Federation of Thai Industries. As an international forum, the meeting brought together experts in software and systems engineering standards from around the world to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and explore best practices in applying ISO standards to promote sustainable business development.

     This gathering also served as a platform for in-depth discussions on how software and systems engineering standards can be effectively implemented across organizations. Furthermore, it fostered international collaboration in the advancement of ISO standards, aiming to enhance the quality of products and services, strengthen organizational competitiveness, and contribute to long-term sustainable outcomes.
