On February 4, 2026, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with KGI Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited, organized the award presentation ceremony for the “KGI Algo Trading Bootcamp & Competition 2025” for Mahidol University students in Room IT204, 2nd floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
During the ceremony, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, delivered a welcoming address and provided remarks on the academic collaboration and the project. The event was also honored by Ms. Nantarat Surakkhaka, Senior Executive Vice President, COO Office Support Department, KGI Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited, who extended congratulations to the award-winning students. The award presentation was witnessed by Dr. Petch Sajjacholapunt, Deputy Dean for Administration and Human Resource, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, as well as executives from KGI Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited.
The competition was joined by students from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, including participants from both the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). Students from the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University International College, and the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies also took part in the competition.
A total of 14 students qualified based on the competition’s evaluation criteria. Of these, 8 students from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology received prizes and certificates, as listed below:
- Winner’s Award with a scholarship of 40,000 Baht and Certificate
- Team YError: Mr. Cheewanon Srisawadwattana, a second-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program)
- Honorable Mention Awards with Certificate
- Team MoneyMotto: Mr. Chavis Rittigun and Mr. Pacharagron Aumsri, third-year students in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program)
- Team YokAndPun: Ms. Natkrittar Maswongwiwat and Ms. Pundharee Puckdinukul, third-year students in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program)
- Team Hoon Mun Tong Chon: Mr. Arbhichar Thanajirawat, a fourth-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program)
- Team SoloPin: Mr. Phakawat Limothai, a first-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program)
- Team Win: Mr. Papat Gunama, a first-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program)
The “KGI Algo Trading Bootcamp & Competition 2025” was designed to foster understanding of algorithmic trading among students by applying Python programming to the development of trading strategies. The program also aimed to strengthen participants’ competencies in data analytics and financial technology (FinTech). The competition took place from November 24 to December 23, 2025 and attracted participation from 25 teams.
The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology would like to extend its heartfelt congratulations to all students. Their accomplishments represent a great source of pride.
