On July 17, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), welcomed the students of the Korea Science Academy of KAIST (KSA) from the Republic of Korea on their visit and study tour in the field of Information Technology, held at the Computer Lab IT105, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
On behalf of the Dean of ICT Mahidol, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suppawong Tuarob, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group, and Head of Machine Intelligence and Knowledge Engineering (MIKE) Research Group, delivered the welcoming remarks. The session was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Supratak, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group, who served as the speaker, along with Mr. Phuriwat Angkoondittaphong, an ICT Mahidol alumnus from Batch 18, who served as the lecturer assistant. They provided insightful knowledge and hands-on practice under the title “PostNext Playground: Build Your Own AI Automation,” for teachers and students from Korea Science Academy of KAIST (KSA), Republic of Korea.
Following the training, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, graciously introduced the faculty’s academic programs. On this occasion, the participants also visited several research and learning facilities at the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, including the Mahidol-Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit (MIRU Lab). In this regard, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mores Prachyabrued, an instructor in the Computer Science Academic Group, along with Master’s and Ph.D. students, presented a variety of current research projects conducted under the MIRU Lab. In addition, Mr.Tamakorn Jiamrachada, Computer Technical Officer, Technology Infrastructure Division, provided an overview and focus areas of the IoT Research Laboratory. In addition, the participants also visited the Smart Classroom, the MIKE Project Laboratory, and the Grand Auditorium.
This activity was organized by the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, in collaboration with Mahidol Wittayanusorn School, as part of the cooperation with Korea Science Academy of KAIST (KSA), Republic of Korea, on staff and student mobility programs focused on academic, language and cultural experiences. The primary purpose of this program was to provide international students with the opportunity to engage in academic exposure, particularly in the fields of computer science and information technology, at renowned academic institutions in Thailand. Moreover, the program featured hands-on activities designed to enhance and strengthen students’ practical computing skills.
