On August 8, 2025, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), represented the Dean at the press conference for the Thailand International Game Showcase 2025 (TIGS2025). Additionally, Dr. Pilailuck Panphattarasap and Dr. Suradej Intagorn, instructors in the Computer Science Academic Group, along with ICT students also participated in the event, which took place at the Small Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre.
The press conference was presided over by Ms. Yuthika Isarangkura, Director – General of the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture. The event was attended by executives from the Department of Cultural Promotion, representatives from the public sector, and leading figures in the game industry.
On this occasion, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, also participated in a panel discussion on the overall planning and organization of the event, as well as the works showcased at the exhibition booth, together with representatives from game developers, board game companies, cosplay communities, and esports athletes.
The “Thailand International Game Showcase 2025 (TIGS2025)” is organized by the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, and is scheduled to take place on August 23–24, 2025, at Paragon Hall, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon. The event aims to elevate Thailand’s gaming industry to the global stage, promote access to technological and cultural knowledge among youth and the general public through gaming, and support business networks in the creative and sustainable development of the Thai gaming industry.
TIGS2025 serves as a significant platform for game developers, entrepreneurs, students, and gaming enthusiasts to showcase their capabilities, exchange experiences, and foster international collaborations. The event will feature a wide range of activities, including the TIGS Game Dev Zone, TIGS Board Game Zone, E-Sport Player & E-Sport Backstage Zone, Cosplayer Zone, and TIGS University Zone, as well as an international seminar stage.
Visitors to the Thailand International Game Showcase 2025 (TIGS2025) are invited to visit the University Zone (TIGS University) to explore game projects and learn more about the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University.
