ABSTRACT

Nowadays, e-Service is important information technology for online business. Most organizations require the user can access many applications with basic pattern, such as window, web, or individual pattern. For accessing the web application, it should be fast, simple and consistent. While the web applications and platforms are increasing, number of population will increase and spread out that a user has to log in them many times.
Single sign-on (SSO) is a property of access control of multiple, related, but independent  software systems. With this property a user logs in once and gains access to all systems without being prompted to log in again at each of them. Different applications and resources support different authentication mechanisms, single sign-on has to internally translate to and store different credentials compared to what is used for initial authentication. SSO uses centralized authentication servers that all other applications and systems utilize for authentication purposes, and combines this with techniques to ensure that users do not actively have to enter their credentials more than once.
Study, design and implementation the web-service SSO on e-Tourism applications using SSO Federation is proposed in the project. The prototype of e-Service or e-Tourism consists of a web portal that is a central web link exchange offering useful information to users. Users can plan trips, explore destinations, find airfares, get ratings and reviews for hotels which need to access many related websites without authentication. Each website runs its own sign on systems. SSO Federation provides accepting levels of trust for authentication from the web portal and passes the user on to applications and/or information managed by another website without requiring re-authentication and/or the need for additional ids and passwords.
