ABSTRACT

In downtown areas like Siam Square,Victory Monument, Silom, etc, we can see a lot of shops. There are several types of shops and promotions which can cause some problem to customers because they must face with a massive amount of information that is difficult to retrieve, manage and remember. This motivates us to develop a system that can collect and inform information around us called the Intelligent Map. It is a web-based application which consists of 3 main modules: Social Network, Searching, and Map Management. The Social Network module is responsible for handling forum which members of the system can post topics and/or comments about shops or promotions. The Searching module has functions to search for shops or promotions and return the closed matching results by using the given keywords provided by a user. The Map Management module is responsible for managing the online map which is a core module of this application. On the map, the system provides information such as locations of shops, shop details, promotion details, and 3D models of some prominent buildings. This application has benefits for both entrepreneurs and customers. For entrepreneurs, they can use this system to advertise their products or services to the mass customers.  For customers, they can get desired information and make a better decision which shops they should visit and pay for goods before going there. The Intelligent Map can provide the convenient functions for users to get information around them. We may recognize it as the “Get Everything All-Around” machine.
