Abstract

Voice over IP has been used for communicating among internal and external units in an organization since it is easy to manage and helps reduce cost. Asterisk server is a telephone private branch exchange (PBX) to manage call activities and forth IPX is a PABX that supports IP system and allows users to make a call via an IP-phone, a softphone, and a mobile phone.

Our project is to develop a call center that connects two asterisk servers and a forth PBX installed at two different places via the session initiation protocol (SIP). Our system helps improve the traditional call center to manage call activities within an organization. In addition, our system supports calls on android phones as well as searching users from the phone directory that is connected directly to database in asterisk server.

In this project, we used eclipse with android sdk as an implementer of android application and sqlite database to manage the user's data.

A call center connecting two asterisk servers and forth PBX is aimed to be a new trend of intra call center system with high capacity and require low cost to an organization.
