ABSTRACT
Remote console software, a program, allows a support person at a help desk take action to control any computer on a Local Area Network (LAN) by remote access to the host computer on the same LAN by using TCP/IP protocol. This program can greatly help to reduce the amount of time spent troubleshooting and diagnosing computer problem. Furthermore, a help desk administrator can see the host user’s screen, move the mouse, click mouse, and type on the keyboard while the end user watches and learns. Remote console software is also an effective “just-in-time” training tool when a user can not remember how to perform a particular activity. It allows the instructor to show the user how to perform the activity and then observe as the user practices. The propose of the project is primarily concerned with “remote console with an iterative, connection-oriented multiprocess server via TCP/IP on Windows”, and developing a new kind of instruction by applying information technology. Furthermore, one of the challenges in computer programming is internetworking with TCP/IP, not only because of its popularity, but also its complexity. This project also attempts to express the way of socket programming interface works with TCP/IP and model of Client-Server. Finally, system design is conducted to build an appropriate remote console via TCP/IP software. This project also suggests the future development of this program.
