ICT Mahidol alumni won 1st prize as one of Thailand representatives of the Cyber SEA Game 2021

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University would like to express our congratulations to Mr. Weerawat Pawanawiwat, ICT Alumbus #Batch 13, winning the 1st prize as one of Thailand’s representative in the Cyber SEA Game 2021 over 10 teams from 10 ASEAN countries on 28 November 2021. The teams from Vietnam, and Singapore won the 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.

Cyber ​​SEA Game 2021 is a competition on cyber security skills in the ASEAN region with the cooperation and sponsorship of Japan. This year’s contest was held online with the participation of 10 seed teams from ASEAN countries.

Cyber ​​SEA Game 2021 was co-held by Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, and ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Centre (AJCCBC), sponsored by JAIF: Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund.

From a total of 204 applicant teams, more than 600 people, participating in “Thailand Cyber Top Talent 2021 Competition” organized by the Office of the National Cyber Security Commission (NSC) and Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., during 23 – 30 October, 2021, the team was selected to be the representatives of Thailand to compete in the Cyber SEA Game 2021. This is a good opportunity to demonstrate the potential of Thailand’s next generation, which will help develop the country’s cybersecurity personnel.
