ICT Mahidol organized “ICT Mahidol Online Short Course” on “Basic AI Algorithms: Pathfinding” for high school students via Gather.Town

On 30 May 2022 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean of The Academic Development and Courses, together with Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean of The Research Development as a teaching assistant, organized “ICT Mahidol Online Short Course”on “Basic AI Algorithms: Pathfinding” for 16 high school students via Gather.Town. During the session, both instructors shared knowledge about AI Algorithms: Pathfinding. The Pathfinding Algorithm is a method for investigating routes; it assists in determining the shortest path in terms of hops or weight. Furthermore, all students learned the work process of the Search Algorithm, which is commonly used in games or applications that require route exploration.

The objectives of the “ICT Mahidol Online Short Course” were to provide students with opportunities to participate in online mock classes of the Faculty of ICT and to develop students’ IT skills. Furthermore, workshops will be held once a month as part of the project, “ICT Mahidol Online Short Course.” The next workshop on “Learning Arduino Programming with Simulator” will be held on 30 June 2022.
