ICT Mahidol) participated in the Thai Universities Promotion Seminar (TUPS) 2023, introducing the International ICT curriculum in the People’s Republic of China

During June 24 – 26, 2023 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, the Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, as well as Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, participated in the Thai Universities Promotion Seminar (TUPS) 2023, the People’s Republic of China (PRC), to introduce the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) to students and parents from the PRC. In addition to the ICT Mahidol representatives, the Faculty of Science, represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Patompong Saengwilai, Assistant Dean, and Dr. Tanant Waritanant, Program Chair of Materials Science and Nano Engineering, as well as the Mahidol International College (MUIC), represented by Dr. Prateep Wongverayut, Assistant Dean for Human Resources, were also present to showcase their programs. On this occasion, Ms. Ma Chi, the Director of the Yunnan Around Asia International Education Center (YAAE), warmly welcomed all representatives from Mahidol University and guided them on a tour of the YAAE Learning Center.

At the seminar, the ICT representatives had the opportunity to engage with numerous prospective students and their parents who showed great interest in the ICT program. They inquired about admission requirements, employment prospects after graduation, available scholarships, and details about the ICT Mahidol teaching curriculum. Alongside the ICT Mahidol representatives, Mr. Yuanqin Yang, an alumnus of ICT Mahidol, also played a crucial role in the event by providing valuable insights to interested applicants about studying at ICT Mahidol. Apart from promoting the program, the representatives also discussed potential collaborations and activities with the YAAE to strengthen their relationship in the future.

The TUPS is an annual educational guidance event organized by the YAAE, aiming to promote leading universities in Thailand. Five top universities, including Mahidol University, Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Kasetsart University, and Chiang Mai University, participate in this event annually.
