ICT Mahidol won 12 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, and 4 Bronze Medals from the “2024 MU Games”

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) congratulates its staff on winning 12 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals from the “2024 MU Games”, held during February 14 – March 15, 2024.

The winners are as follows:

  • “Joong-Gun-Run Competition (Run Together)”, held on February 14, 2024 at Mahidol University, Salaya
    • Miss Kittiya Ploywattanawong and Miss Duanghathai Pangjiklee won the 1st prize for fancy dress category
  • 1 gold medal from the “Athletics Competition”, held on February 14, 2024 at Sport Complex, Rajamangala University of Technology, Salaya
    • Mr. Pidsanu Phormmongkol won the gold medal from Shot Put
  • 7 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals from the “Swimming Competition”, held on February 23, 2024 at Sirimongkol Swimming Pool, College of Sports Science and Technology, Mahidol University
    • Mr. Pakpoom Pattanasirimarkorn won 4 gold medals:
      • Gold medal in 50-meter, backstroke category, male, age group 35 – 39
      • Gold medal in 50-meter, butterfly stroke category, male, age group 35 – 39
      • Gold medal in 50-meter, breaststroke category, male, age group 35 – 39
      • Gold medal in 50-meter, freestyle category, male, age group 35 – 39
    • Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham won 2 gold medals:
      • Gold medal in 50-meter, breaststroke category, female, age 55 years and above
      • Silver medal in 50-meter, freestyle category, female, age 55 years and above
    • Mr. Nuttapol Boonsom won 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal:
      • Gold medal in 50-meter butterfly stroke category, male, age group 45 – 49
      • Silver medal in 50-meter, freestyle category, male, age group 45 – 49
    • Mrs. Thanaporn Sungprasert won 2 silver medals:
      • Gold medal in 50-meter, freestyle category, female, age group 45 – 49
      • Gold medal in 50-meter, breaststroke category, female, age group 45 – 49
    • Asst. Prof. Dr. Preecha Tangworakitthaworn won 1 bronze medal:
      • Bronze medal in 50-meter, freestyle category, male, age group 45 – 49
    • 1 bronze medal in the mixed 4×50-meter freestyle relay category, age group under 44 years: Asst. Prof. Dr. Preecha Tangworakitthaworn, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, Ms. Thanaporn Sangprasert, and Mr. Pakpoom Pattanasirimarkorn
  • 1 bronze medal from the “Football Competition”, the final round was held on March 8, 2024 at Sport Field 1, Mahidol University, Salaya. The team members included:

This year, staff from various faculties within Mahidol University including Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Faculty of Graduate Studies, National Institute for Child and Family Development, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Golden Jubilee Medical Center, and Office of the President, also participated as members of the ICT Mahidol football team.

  • 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal from the “Snooker-Billiard Competition,” held on March 9, 2024, at Black Pool Snooker, Phutthamonthon Sai 3
    • Mr. Rawat Tongson and Mr. Pidsanu Phormmongkol won the gold medal in doubles; no age limit.
    • Mr. Rawat Tongson, Mr. Pidsanu Phormmongkol, and Mr. Jumrieng Yingyuenyong won 3 gold medals in 3-players; no age limit.
    • Mr. Pidsanu Phormmongkol won the silver medal in single-player, Division 2; no age limit.
    • Mr. Rawat Tongson won the bronze medal in single-player, Division 1; no age limit.

The objectives of the “MU Games 2024” are to provide sports and recreational benefits to the university staff, foster unity among staff members from various departments of the university, and enhance organizational engagement. Additionally, it aimed at selecting staff members with abilities in various sports to represent Mahidol University in upcoming nationwide university staff sports competitions.

This year, staff members from the Faculty of ICT participated in 14 sports competitions, including Joong-Gun-Run (Run Together), football, futsal, volleyball, swimming, tennis, petanque, badminton, aerobics, athletics, golf, crosswords, basketball, and snooker-billiards.

The Faculty of ICT commends and supports all athletes representing the faculty in the “MU Games 2024”. It is an honor and a source of pride for the faculty.
