Dean of ICT Mahidol served as a special speaker at the academic conference “Mahidol Medical & Healthcare Technology”

On February 6, 2024, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), served as a special speaker on the topic “AI-Based Medical Diagnosis” in the seminar for industrial entrepreneurs on “INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABILITY,” under the theme “Mahidol Medical & Healthcare Technology”.

On this occasion, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, delivered an opening speech at the Grand Ballroom, Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya.

In addition, instructors and staff from ICT Mahidol also participated in the exhibition showcasing innovations and academic services of the faculty, including:

  • Booth featuring: “Automated Framework for​ AI Federated Learning in Medical Imaging” and “Hearing Test App” by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean
  • Booth featuring: “MosquitoSong Sensors: Bio-acoustic IoT sensors for mosquito surveillance” and “VR Simulation for Learning Indirect Vision in Complex Bi-Manual Tasks” by Prof. Dr. Peter Haddawy, Deputy Dean for Research
  • Booth for promoting academic services of the Faculty of ICT by Mr. Den Tupsai, General Administration Officer, Academic Services and Technology Transfer Department

The seminar for industrial entrepreneurs on “INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABILITY” under the theme “Mahidol Medical & Healthcare Technology” was organized through collaboration between the Mahidol Innovation Commercialization Center (MICC) and the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medical Technology, and Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University. The objective of this event is to provide a platform for discussion, knowledge exchange, and showcasing of innovations in Medical & Healthcare Technology from experts and relevant units within Mahidol University.
