ICT Mahidol, in collaboration with Bluebik Vulcan Co., Ltd., organized the academic seminar “MUICT-AST The Series: Empowering Tech Innovation through Security, Agility, and Design” on the topic of “Microservices Design.”

On March 5, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with Bluebik Vulcan Co., Ltd., hosted the academic seminar “MUICT-AST The Series: Empowering Tech Innovation through Security, Agility, and Design” on the topic of “Microservices Design.” The event was officially opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer.

The seminar featured Mr. Seri Makiad, Associate Director of the Business Unit and Technology Director, as the keynote speaker. He shared valuable insights on Microservices Architecture Design and its practical applications. Following his presentation, Mr. Seri Makiad also provided an overview of the company’s operations to all participants. The seminar was attended by 25 faculty members, staff, and students from Mahidol University, as well as other interested participants. It was held at Room IT321, 3rd floor, ICT Mahidol, Salaya.

The seminar aimed to equip participants with knowledge of Microservices Architecture and its applications, covering key topics such as Microservices design based on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), techniques for breaking down monolithic applications into Microservices, designing Microservices based on business capabilities, data management in Microservices, and building resilient Microservices. The knowledge gained from this seminar is expected to help participants apply Microservices concepts more effectively in their work.

The “MUICT-AST The Series” is an academic service project organized by ICT Mahidol for the third consecutive year, providing free training sessions for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. This year, the series includes five training sessions, conducted in both on-site and online formats, from Wednesday, October 30, 2024, to Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The upcoming sessions are scheduled as follows:

  • Wednesday, March 12, 2025: “Design Thinking”
  • Wednesday, March 26, 2025: “Highway to Golang Programming”
