ICT Mahidol welcomed the delegation from the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) from the United States of America

On April 22, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Prof. Dr. Peter Haddawy, Deputy Dean for Research, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, represented the Dean in welcoming delegates from the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) during their visit to Mahidol University. The objectives of this visit were to explore future opportunities for academic collaboration between Mahidol University and the universities in the USA.

On this occasion, MU executives including Prof. Wachira Kochakarn, M.D. FACS., Vice President of Mahidol University, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, as well as representatives from the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University International College, and the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, also welcomed the delegation at the Project of Institute Establishment for Sireeruckhachati, Mahidol University, Salaya.

The delegates visiting Mahidol University included representatives from the Embassy of the United States of America, Dr. Jacqueline Murot, Cultural and Education Attaché, and Ms. Supiengpitch Pornroekngam, Cultural Affairs Specialist. Representatives from various universities in the United States participating in the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) also joined this visit, including:

  • Georgia Gwinnett College,
  • Oklahoma City Community College,
  • Purdue University,
  • Tufts University,
  • University of Alabama,
  • University of Massachusetts Amherst,

  • University of Wyoming,
  • Institute of International Education (IIE).

In addition, Prof. Dr. Peter Haddawy, Deputy Dean for Research, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, presented information about the Faculty of ICT, including its programs and research achievements, to the delegates.

The International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) was established by the U.S. Embassy in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), with support from the Institute of International Education (IIE). The aim of the said program is to build up cooperation between higher educational institutions in Thailand and the United States of America, including the exchange of students, researchers, and academic staff.
