From October 20 – 28, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International program), along with staff from Organizational Communications Department, Mahidol’s International Relations Division, Mahidol University International College (MUIC), and Yunnan Around Asia International Education Center (YAAE), participated in the China Education Expo (CEE) 2023 in the People’s Republic of China.
The Faculty of ICT participated in three major cities as follows:
- October 21 – 22: Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, Shanghai
- October 26: Chengdu CYNN Hotel, Chengdu
- October 27 – 28: China National Convention Center (CNCC), Beijing
On this occasion, the representatives from Mahidol University received a warm welcome from the Yunnan Around Asia International Education Center (YAAE). The Mahidol University booth garnered substantial attention from students, parents, and agencies. Many visitors inquired about curriculum information at both undergraduate and graduate levels, teaching and learning management formats, program durations, and short-term programs. They also sought information related to studying in Thailand, including visa application procedures and the international atmosphere of the university. Furthermore, various foreign universities and educational organizations expressed interest in potential academic collaborations with Mahidol University.
The China Education Expo (CEE) is an annual event organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), starting in 2000. It is widely recognized as a significant educational exhibition, featuring pavilions from over 20 countries and over 600 universities and institutes from 40 countries worldwide. This event attracts more than 60,000 attendees.
