ICT Mahidol organized the “MUICT Open House 2023”

On September 16 – 17, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “MUICT Open House 2023”. On this occasion, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, greeted the students who organized the activity in Room IT 204, the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.

The Faculty of ICT organized the annual “MUICT Open House 2023” to promote the Faculty and its programs to students, parents, and other interested people. The event was divided into five zones, as follows:

  • Activities Zone at Innovative Space, the 1st floor: Overall introduction session to the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International program), and B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai program), Abroad internship exchange experiences, and musical performances by ICT students
  • Consultation Point for Admission to ICT and DST Programs at Co-Working Space, 2nd floor: Guidance on the application process and admission for those interested in studying at the Faculty of ICT
  • International Experiences Zone at Bits & Bytes Hall, 4th floor: Information session about internships abroad, including Japan, the People’s Republic of China (Taiwan), and Germany, for ICT International program students and internship opportunities with leading IT companies in Thailand for DST Thai program students
  • Guidance Zone at Bits & Bytes Hall, 4th floor: Introduction session of ICT Mahidol undergraduate and graduate programs, including B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program), M.Sc. in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, M.Sc. in Game Technology and Gamification, and Ph.D in Computer Science
  • Senior Project Exhibition at Grand Auditorium Hall, 4th floor: An exhibition showcasing student clubs and presenting student projects and research

In addition, on September 16, 2023, Asst. Prof. Flg. Off. Chatchai Kunavisarut, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni, Mahidol University, paid a visit to the Faculty of ICT. During this visit, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of ICT, greeted him and led him for a tour of several activity zones.

Additionally, the Faculty of ICT arranged a booth at the Siriwittaya Building, the Faculty of Liberal Arts to exhibit ICT and DST programs. In rooms 217 to 219, representatives from ICT Mahidol provided introductory information and the 2024 admission criteria to high school students and their parents. Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems, presented details about the DST Thai program. Furthermore, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, along with Asst. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, the Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, delivered information about the ICT International Program.

The two-day event was a huge success, with over 3,000 attendees. The Faculty of ICT would like to thank all event organizers, staff, and students who contributed to the success of this event. Additionally, the Faculty of ICT extends its heartfelt appreciation to parents, students, and all individuals who visited the faculty and expressed interest in our educational programs and activities.
