ICT Mahidol, in collaboration with Tokyo City University, organized the academic conference “Gateway 2023: The 1st Symposium on Tokyo and Bangkok ICT Fusion”

On July 25, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with Tokyo City University, organized the academic conference “Gateway 2023: The 1st Symposium on Tokyo and Bangkok ICT Fusion”, via Zoom. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of ICT Mahidol, and Prof. Takanori Yokoyama, the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Department of Computer Science from Tokyo City University.

This academic conference “Gateway 2023: The 1st Symposium on Tokyo and Bangkok ICT Fusion”, was mainly organized by Prof. Akira Taguchi, the Faculty of Information and Technology, Tokyo City University.  The objective of it was to provide a platform for showcasing research in the fields of AI and Machine Learning carried out by both ICT Mahidol and Tokyo City University. The event commenced with third-year students from B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology, ICT Mahidol (ICT International program), presenting their internship results. Subsequently, keynote speeches focusing on AI and Machine Learning were presented by Dr. Petch Sajjacholapunt, Deputy Dean for Administration and Human Resource, Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs from ICT Mahidol, Prof. Shiho Hoshi Nobesawa, an instructor from Tokyo City University. Additionally, students from both universities presented their projects regarding AI and Machine Learning.

Furthermore, faculty members from ICT Mahidol actively participated in the conference, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Program Chair of M.Sc. in Cyber Security and Information Assurance, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Phongsuphap, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Quality Assurance, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, Dr. Ittipon Rassameeroj, Assistant Dean for Infrastructure and Technology, as well as Dr. Songpon Teerakanok, Instructor of the Computer Science Academic Group. Additionally, students from both ICT Mahidol and Tokyo City University also attended the session to witness the presentations and engage in knowledge exchange.
