MUICT led by Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jarernsri L. Mitrpanont, Senior Advisor of Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, along with executives, instructors, and staff welcomed the AUN-QA staff, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Kay Chuan, NUS Chief Quality Officer, Lead Trainer and Assessor to the ASEAN University Network, National University of Singapore, Mr. Casey Barnett, CFA, FCCA, MBA (Assessor) President of CamEd Business School Cambodia, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantana Gajaseni, Acting Chairperson of AUN-QA. The visit was aimed for quality assessment of the ICT undergraduate program based on the AUN-QA (Asian level) between 20th to 22nd February 2019 at the MUICT building, Salaya campus.

ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance or “AUN-QA” operating since 1998 in order to assess the quality of education and set the standards for the member universities to be in a  similar direction. Presently, the AUN-QA standard is accepted as one of the international education standard and has more than 100 member universities from 10 countries in Asian.

Furthermore, the faculty held an opening ceremony for the AUN-QA on Wednesday 20th February 2019 at the Grand Auditorium, 4th floor, the MUICT building, with more than 150 participants, including the assessors from AUN-QA, secretary of AUN-QA, MU executives, the executives from 4 faculties who participated in this assessment, and relevant persons. Moreover, there was a site visit and interview by the assessors in the afternoon while the closing ceremony was held on Friday 22nd February 2019 at the Grand Auditorium, the MUICT building, Salaya campus.
