Student Association / Club

The Student Association of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mahidol University

The Student Association of the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University which is overseen by the Student Activities Supervisory Board, is operated by students of the Faculty of ICT and Club Directors. Every week, a meeting is held to manage the schedule of student activities, and to follow up on the student activities plan and clubs’ budgets.

Objectives of the Student Association of the Faculty of ICT
  • To encourage students to show their capacities both academically and socially, as well as to support students to do more extracurricular activities which enhance the core values of the University: M-A-H-I-D-O-L, and the Faculty of ICT’s core value: One ICT.
  • To serve as representatives of the Faculty’s students in bringing their concerns and suggestions to the attention of the Faculty’s administration, as well as finding solutions to solve problems in creative ways.
  • To coordinate with student representatives of each year in organizing recreational activities, as well as taking care of, coordinating, and co-operating with the student clubs under the supervision of the Student Association.
    The Student Association is located in Room IT205, the 2nd floor, ICT Building, Salaya campus

Student Clubs

Student clubs (Extracurricular Activities) are under the supervision of the Student Association of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mahidol University. By participating in clubs, students not only have opportunities to practice, develop, and improve their academic, communication, and leadership skills, but also create, develop, and nurture the society and communities in which they live. Additionally, students are encouraged to become responsible citizens by giving back to their communities through service projects.

Currently the Faculty of ICT has the following active clubs.

Mahidol Activity Transcript (AT)

Mahidol Activity Transcript (AT)

AT stands for Activity Transcript. The AT system is a database system that records and collects information about students’ participation in extracurricular activities at Mahidol University throughout their period of study. Furthermore, when a student accumulates AT hours that meet the University’s criteria, the student will be awarded an “Activity Transcript Certificate”.

Students can view their Activity Transcript by visiting www.activity.mahidol.ac.th

 

What students gain from collecting the “Activity Transcript”

The Activity Transcript can be used as a supporting document when applying for a job.
The Activity Transcript can be used as a supporting document when applying for a Scholarship for Further Study / Student Exchange Scholarship both in Thailand and abroad.
By attending extracurricular activities held by the University, students gain various experiences that will be useful and necessary in their future lives.

Mahidol University Student Uniform

Formal Uniform

A formal uniform should be worn when attending any university ceremony, including student orientation, “Wai Kru”, commencement ceremonies, and other formal occasions.

Male Students

  1. Tucked-in plain white long-sleeved shirt and navy blue necktie with the Mahidol University logo
  2. Navy blue dress pants (No Jeans)
  3. Leather or suede belt with the Mahidol University buckle
  4. Black dress shoes and Black socks

Female Students

  1. Plain and not-too-sheer white blouse with plastic buttons, Mahidol University brooch, and navy blue Mahidol University logo bowtie
  2. Straight knee-length, plain dark blue or navy blue skirt
  3. Leather or suede belt with the Mahidol University buckle
  4. Black court shoes

Regular Uniform

A formal uniform should be worn when you are inside ICT buildings and on the MU campus.

2nd – 4th year students
Student Mandatory Military Service

All male students of Thai nationality are required to register with the Thai military when they are 21 years old. For ICT Mahidol male students who meet the age requirement, and have not completed the Military training during their high school, must undergo Military Recruitment at their assigned affiliation (according to their residence sub-district / district).

Students who would like to request postponement of their Military Recruitment, should submit appropriate legal documents to the Academic Services Division within October of every year (before the year of recruitment) following these steps:

  1. Send the request form as well as required document (electronic file) to Miss Noppawan Raluekmool, Educator (Special Activity) via email: noppawan.ral@mahidol.edu.
  2. After documents approval, send them (original copies) by post to: Miss Noppawan Raluekmool
