The combined total of academic and tuition fees is estimated at 70,000 Baht per semester.

The duration of study is usually 4 years with a maximum of 8 years to complete the degree.

The Faculty of ICT provides 8 various major tracks.

This core track focuses on the use of several computer science theories to solve fundamental problems. In addition, students will study system related topics in computer science such as algorithms analysis, database design, embedded system, and computer graphics.

This core track focuses on creating, extending, and applying database and artificial intelligence technologies to real world problems. Students in this major will learn the theory of database design, digital image processing, intelligent techniques for pattern recognition, semantic web, and knowledge management.

This applied track focuses on applying various computing technologies for building e-business infrastructure and platforms in order to enhance opportunities for a number of traditional business applications. Students will study e-business modeling and related issue such as customer relationship management, supply chain management, and mobile applications. Student will also learn how to identify business problems and come up with solutions for solving these problems as well as creating new business strategies. Other topics such as decision support, business intelligent systems, and project management are also included in this track.

This applied track focuses on creating and applying various multimedia technologies for the building of multimedia related systems including computer animation, computer graphics, and virtual reality. Student will learn how to manipulate various media including audio and video data so that they can apply multimedia technology to several venues such as art, education, entertainment, engineering, medicine and science.

This core track focuses on a systematic approach to the development process, analysis, design, implementation, test, maintenance, and quality assurance of software. Students will learn the fundamentals of software design and architecture, project management, software development process, and efficiency measurement of software products. Moreover, students will study essential techniques for inspecting, reviewing, and verifying the software and its process.

This applied track focuses on applying information technology for building of health and healthcare applications in order to the delivery of quality care. Students will study healthcare systems, clinical information systems, management information systems in healthcare organizations, e-Health and telehealth, as well as information privacy and security in healthcare. Other topics such as information models and healthcare information standards are also covered.

Network Track is the core track that students can learn the Internet architecture, Internet protocols, how the Internet works, network management, network programming, and computer forensic. One of the largest categories for IT certifications, and thus IT careers, has to be networking. Without applying more specific criteria, a networking track could cover local wired and wireless IP network design, connectivity, routing, and administration, but also mobile communications technologies like LTE and Mobile WiMAX. In addition, data center networking falls under this umbrella, as well as wide area network (WAN) connectivity and quality of service, as do traditional long-haul technologies such as carrier Ethernet, optical fiber, and so on.

There I also the area of Network and Softwarization, the emerging methodologies and technologies for network programmability and their impact on modern application scenarios. It is an overall transformation trend for designing, implementing, deploying, managing and maintaining network equipment and/or network components by software programming, exploiting the natures of software such as flexibility and rapidity all along the lifecycle of network equipment/components, for the sake of creating conditions enabling the redesign of network and services architectures, optimizing costs and processes, enabling self‐management and bringing added values in network infrastructures including Network Functions Virtualization(NFV), Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Virtualization, Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), Cloud and IoT technologies.

MIS’s main feature is to manage how to use information technology (IT) and information system (IS) to support and improve the business processes of the organization. MIS is not only computer systems. MIS systems comprise of five main components: hardware, software, data/information for decision-making, procedures, and people (individuals, groups, or organizations). The goal is to support critical decision making in the management area of the organization. MIS will focus more on the data interpretation because Information is fundamental to the validity of the decision that affects accomplishment of the tasks effectively and efficiently. The result will give an overall picture of the company, highlight their strengths and weaknesses, and give the insight about customers of the organization.

Remark: Students are required to select specialty course in the second semester of their third year.


  1. Graduated and hold a high-school (Grade 12) diploma or its equivalent certificate in the science and mathematics program.
  2. Pass the entrance examination and meet the requirements as regulated by the Office of the Higher Education Commission or pass an entrance examination conducted under the supervision of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University, which includes a written examination and/or an interview. Additionally, academic performances and grades in high-school, as well as examination scores are considered according to the rules and regulations in the student selection methods of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University.
  3. International students or applicants who graduated high-school (Grade 12) or equivalent from foreign country must have a certification letter from the Ministry of Education and must pass the selection process determined by the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University.
  4. Applicants who are not in the science and mathematics program in their high-school studies must pass the condition 2 as stated above.
