ICT Mahidol organized a training program on “Upskill & Reskill: Basic Bioinformatic, AI techniques and Research Challenges for Pharmacy”

On September 13 – 27, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as its collaborative partners under the project “Center of Excellence in AI-Based Medical Diagnosis (AI-MD),” organized a training program titled “Upskill & Reskill: Basic Bioinformatic, AI Techniques, and Research Challenges for Pharmacy for instructors, staff, students, and other interested individuals via Webex Meetings.

Five training sessions were scheduled as follows:

13 September 2023

  • Topic: “Introduction to Research Challenges in Drug Discovery, Design, and Development” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittisak Sripha, Head of the Department of Microbiology
  • Topic: “Computational Approaches in Drug Discovery” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaturong Pratuangdejkul, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

15 September 2023

  • Topic: “AI-Driven Bioinformatics: From Basics to Project Implementation and GPT-Enhanced Skills” by Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University

20 September 2023

  • Topic: “Drug Discovery and Lead Optimization” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chatchakorn Eurtivong, faculty member of the Chemical Sciences Program, Chulabhorn Graduate Institute
